Springtime is when many a ’berg from Greenland reaches it’s journey’s end in Conception Bay and several can be approached safely, offering a unique, exciting experience to visitors who want something a little different to ‘bore the neighbours’ with when they return home! Summer sees the arrival of vast shoals of Caplin fish – ‘whale food’ – which attract many species of these stunning animals, including enormous Humpbacks, friendly Belugas and the occasional Narwhal. Getting ‘up close and personal’ with whales is a truly amazing encounter with nature which leaves indelible memories. Some are extremely inquisitive and will often spend long periods close to Ocean Quest’s boats.

Sightseeing at it’s Finest!!

Wherever you go in Conception Bay, there’s something of natural or historical interest to excite visitors. The MV Ocean Quest will take you to islands and coves once frequented by infamous pirates Henry Morgan and Peter Easton or cruise through the calm waters near Bell Island where Hitler’s U-Boats torpedoed Allied ships during the Battle of the Atlantic. A wide variety of marine life, seabirds, bald eagles, caves and awesome geological formations carved by glaciers millions of years ago provide photographers with exciting subjects.

Water Activities

Want to cool off from that hot summer Sun?  Feel the need for an adrenaline rush or just a relaxing swim or snorkeling expedition?  We have water activities for everyone.  Enjoy a ride on our water slider - which can reach speeds of 65 Km/h.  Or how about snorkeling in the many coves and inlets that can be explored in the Bay?  Even SCUBA Diving!  Our professional instructors will show you through the basics in the resort's indoor pool before accompanying you on your boat tour to guide you on an underwater excursion in one of Conception Bay's many beautiful coves.

BBQ on the Bay

Looking for a party with a difference that everyone will talk about? How about a BBQ on the bay! The MV Ocean Quest will sail to one of the beautiful coves in Conception Bay and you'll be served with a hardy meal while you sit back and enjoy the scenery.  Works outings, anniversaries, family reunions - enjoy them all aboard our boat in some of nature's best surroundings.
