An important part of being a diver is the ability to deal with emergency situations and Ocean Quest offer training in First Aid, CPR, Oxygen Administration and Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). Age of Majority. The age of majority in Newfoundland & Labrador is 19 years old. Any person under age 19 participating in training activities with Ocean Quest will require any relevant liability releases, waivers, etc to be signed by their igned by their parent or legal guardian.
Medical & Liability. Students on all training courses at Ocean Quest are required to sign a General Liability Release and Medical Statement (on-line training includes an electronic version of the documents). Before booking courses, students are requested to review the following documents: -

If any questions on the Medcal Statement are answered YES, a Physician Sign-Off document confirming fitness to dive will be required before commencement of training.
